We kennen natuurlijk allemaal de kleurtjes die we gebruikten als kind.
Maar inmiddels is er ook een compleet scala aan kleurpotloden voor de professionele kunstenaar! Het is een geweldig materiaal om mee te tekenen en er zijn prachtige resultaten mee te behalen.
Maar wat heb je nou nodig
als je wil beginnen?
1: Een prettige, schone werkplek met veel licht
Een tekening maken met kleurpotlood vergt veel tijd. Lekker zitten is dus wel zo fijn.
2: Papier
Er zijn veel verschillende opties. - Aquarelpapier (HOT pressed) - Pastelmat- Grafix drafting film etc.
In deze video laat ik de verschillende papiersoorten zien en leg ik uit wat de verschillen zijn:
3: Potloden
Natuurlijk.... Maar welke dan?
Tsja, dit is erg afhankelijk van je eigen voorkeur en portemonnee. Hier een paar overwegingen:
Ikzelf adviseer eigenlijk altijd de Polychromos kleurpotloden van Faber-Castell. Er zijn diverse dozen te koop, van 12 tot 120 kleurpotloden. Als je een beginner bent is de doos van 60 potloden een fantastische start. Alle kleuren die je nodig hebt zitten erin, en uitbreiden kan ook nog.
Deze set is vrij prijzig, maar ook erg compleet. En een echt pluspunt is het feit dat de kleurpotloden los verkrijgbaar zijn! Dit betekend dus dat wanneer een potlood op is je niet meteen een hele doos hoeft te kopen. Bovendien is uitbreiden van je collectie erg makkelijk en hebben de kleuren een hoge lichtechtheid score. (dan vervaag de kleur niet als je tekening in de kamer hangt)
Andere merken om te overwegen zijn de Luminance serie van Caran d'Ache (heel duur, wel fantastisch) Verschillende series van Derwent (allemaal heel prettig en een aanrader) en mocht je een beginner zijn, en nog niet zeker weten of het wat voor je is de Zenacolour serie. (Heel goedkoop maar niet los te krijgen en niet lichtecht.)
4: Gamsol of een verfverdunner
Huh? het is toch geen olieverf?
De professionele kleurpotloden zijn gebaseerd op olie of op was. Om de kleuren goed met elkaar te laten mengen kan je gebruik maken van een olieverfverdunner.
In de video hieronder vertel ik je precies hoe dat gaat:
5: Diverse dingetjes:
- Een goede puntenslijper. Deze heb je hard nodig want je tekent altijd met een scherpe punt voor het beste resultaat
- Een potlood verlenger. Hiermee haal je het meeste uit je dure kleurpotloden en kan je ze helemaal opgebruiken.
- Een goede gum. Ik gebruik meestal een kneedgum en een harde gum. Er zijn zelfs elektrische!
- Scotsch tape. Het wondermiddel teken foutjes. Foutje? beetje tape eroverheen- wrijven- tape eraf- foutje weg.
Dit is de basislijst van materialen die je zeker nodig hebt om te beginnen met professionele Kleurpotlood!
